Monitor Products, Inc. respects the privacy of visitors, customers and business contacts who use this website and the separate Monitor Online Store. This Privacy Policy explains the information the website collects, how Monitor uses and retains it, and how to contact Monitor with a privacy request.

Information you provide

Monitor may receive information that you provide through the Contact form, the Technical Resources/application form, the Online Store, customer-account functions, orders, email, telephone calls or other communications. Depending on how you interact with Monitor, this information may include your name, company, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping information, account details, order information, application requirements, operating conditions and other information you choose to provide.

The current public Contact and Technical Resources forms do not accept file attachments.

Technical and confidential information

Information submitted through the Technical Resources/application form may be used to understand an application and determine the appropriate next conversation. Customers should contact Monitor before submitting confidential, proprietary, export-controlled or otherwise highly sensitive technical information. Submission through the website does not by itself create a confidentiality, nondisclosure, engineering-approval or project-acceptance obligation.

Online Store and transaction information

When you use the Online Store, Monitor and its service providers may process information needed to operate an account, complete or evaluate an order, process payment, calculate tax, arrange shipping, prevent fraud, provide customer service, maintain warranty and transaction records, and comply with accounting, tax and legal requirements. Payment information may be processed by payment-service providers under their own privacy and security practices.

Information collected through the website

The website and necessary site, security, analytics, account and store technologies may collect technical information such as internet protocol address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referral information, cookies and similar identifiers. Cookies may be used to operate the website, maintain sessions and shopping carts, remember choices, protect forms and accounts, support checkout and understand website use.

Service providers and disclosure

Monitor may share information with service providers that support website hosting, email, form processing, security, analytics, payment processing, order administration, tax, shipping and other business operations. Monitor may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, complete a business transaction or resolve a dispute. Service providers may process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Security

Monitor uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures intended to protect information. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers should use appropriate care when deciding what information to send electronically.

Retention

Original submissions received through the Contact and Technical Resources/application forms are retained for 24 months under the current website process. Information may be retained longer where appropriate for an active customer relationship or project, orders, accounting, tax, warranty, legal obligations, disputes, security or other legitimate business-record requirements. Retention may also depend on applicable written agreements and transaction documents.

Privacy requests

You may contact Monitor to ask about personal information associated with you, request a correction or raise a privacy concern. Monitor may need to verify a request and may retain information where required or permitted for legal, security, transaction or legitimate business-record purposes.

Third-party links and services

The website may link to third-party websites or use third-party services. Monitor does not control the privacy practices of those third parties. Review the applicable third party’s privacy information before providing information to it.
